American Depository Receipts (ADRs) are securities that are issued by foreign-based companies and traded in the U.S. market. Investors who are active during U.S. market hours can actually capture quick profits through a relatively risk-free trading strategy utilizing price-moving, after-market news from Asia to build positions in ADRs and/or their derivatives in the U.S. markets.
No one knows this better than author Alan Voon, a premier warrants specialist who's been able to consistently find—and take advantage of—these opportunities. Now, in Trading the China Market with American Depository Receipts, he shares his extensive experience in this field with you.
Written with the serious trader in mind, this reliable resource reveals that when a foreign company's home exchange is located in a different time zone, it usually leads to a time lag in information dissemination to other exchanges. This situation leaves a window open for the informed trader to profit—especially when an issuer announces price-sensitive news after their home exchange closes, but during U.S. market trading hours.
Divided into two comprehensive parts, Trading the China Market with American Depository Receipts puts this proven approach in perspective as it skillfully:

Explains the different types of available ADRs and examines the mechanism of creating and canceling them

Looks at how and where to find potentially price-moving news released in after-hours Asian markets

Provides the practical knowledge needed to actually trade Chinese markets using ADRs and reveals who can help you execute these trades

Discusses when to introduce various derivatives to magnify trading gains

Addresses the possible pitfalls of using this strategy and provides examples of when a seemingly sure thing can sometimes go wrong

Uses case studies to illustrate how the strategies can be implemented when companies announce earnings surprises and shocks, changes in government policies impact share price, or company-specific news breaks

While some may say that it's impossible to find a "free lunch" or risk-free profits in today's well- connected global marketplace, the possibility still exists. Engaging and informative, Trading the China Market with American Depository Receipts will help you find them, as you make money from China in your own backyard.
