<p><b>EDITED BY</b> <p><b>MIGUEL DE LA GUARDIA, P<small>H</small>D,</b> is Professor of Analytical Chemistry in Valencia University. His research is focused on the automation of analytical methods through multi-commutation, sample preparation procedures for elemental analysis and speciation, and for chromatography and spectrometry determinations, IMS and quantitative vibrational spectrometry in the FTIR, NIR and Raman fields. <p><b>FRANCESC A. ESTEVE-TURRILLAS, P<small>H</small>D,</b> is Associate Professor of the University of Valencia. His research is focused on the development of analytical tools based in the applications of selective materials in sample pre-treatment, the use of novel extractions systems for solid samples, passive sampling based in membrane devices, and IMS.
