Create a team-building organization
In business, in sports, and even within families, effective teamwork is a key to success. This continues to be true even in this era of virtual teams and special scenarios that complicate the team environment. Beyond Team Building is a distillation of decades of wisdom on the best ways to assess team effectiveness, identify appropriate interventions, and bake teamwork into the culture of your organization.
Learn the five dimensions of effective teamwork, how to assess your team's performance in each dimension, and what to do if you want to see better results through team improvement.

Context – Create an environment that promotes flourishing teams

Composition – Build teams that work well together and challenge one another

Competencies – Identify skills that can take team performance to the next level

Change – Promote development even in well-oiled teams for better results

Collaborative Leadership – Give team leaders the edge they need

These "5 Cs" of effective teamwork can infuse new life into teams of all kinds. Self-assessment surveys and practical intervention tools make it easy for you to determine where your team stands and see the path forward to greater heights. Even temporary teams and virtual teams will benefit from these insights.
Experience—and the examples in this book—shows that ineffective teamwork can act as a throttle to organizations and groups large and small. Team leaders, team members, and teamwork consultants can create high-functioning teams with the core knowledge and focused guidance in Beyond Team Building. Team building can and should become ingrained in the day-to-day operations of your organization. This book will show you how!
