This is the first handbook of its kind to examine the theory, research, and practice of clinical supervision from an international, multi-disciplinary perspective.  The coverage is broken into five sections that cover conceptual and research foundations, practice foundations, core skills, measuring competence, and supervision perspectives. Edited by two prominent scholars in the field, it includes 32 contributions from a multi-disciplinary group of contributors from around the world, including Australia, Finland, Hong Kong, Slovenia, South Africa, Sweden, the United Kingdom, and the United States. Each essay addresses a key aspect of clinical supervision—from competency frameworks, evidence-based practice, and supervisory alliances to qualitative and quantitative assessment and diversity-sensitive supervision—with an eye to chronicling and advancing a diverse set of global practices.  With the latest research in the field and novel ideas for clinical practice, this is a timely and authoritative look at the increasingly international nature of clinical supervision.
