<b>Erich Goode</b> is Emeritus Professor of Sociology at Stony Brook University. He is the author of 11 books, mainly on deviance, crime, and drug use, which include <i>Deviant Behavior</i> (10th edition, 2015), <i>Drugs in American Society</i> (9th edition, 2015), and <i>Justifiable Conduct: Self-Vindication in Memoir</i> (2013).
