<p><b>Anthony Brundage</b> is Professor of History Emeritus at California State Polytechnic University, Pomona, USA. Among his publications are seven books, the most recent of which, co-authored with Richard Cosgrove is <i>British Historians and National Identity: From Hume to Churchill</i>.</p>
