<p><b>Gerald F. Kominski, PhD,</b> is professor, Department of Health Policy and Management in the UCLA Fielding School of Public Health, and director of UCLA Center for Health Policy Research. He is co-developer of the California Simulation of Insurance Markets (CalSIM) model currently being used to estimate eligibility and enrollment in health insurance exchanges in California and Hawaii.
