"...Der Okonom und Wissenschaftshistoriker Peter L. Bernstein fasste den Siegeszug der modernen Investment- und Finanztheorie zusammen - dem 1992 erschienenen "Capital Ideas: The Improbable Origins of Modern Wall Street". Es hat sich viel getan, seitdem er darin die Lebenswerke von Legenden we Louis Bachelier oder Franco Modigliani und die praktische Bedeutung ihrer Theorien fur die Marktplatze der Welt dargelegt hat. Viele der fuhrenden Theoretiker und Praktiker sind heute andere als damals, und besonder der "Angriff" von Forschern aus der Fachrichtung Behavioral Finance hat den theoretischen Diskurs grundlegend geandert. Der heute 88-jahrige Bernstein ist nicht mude geworden, an dieser Debatte mitzuwirken. So legt er nun, 15 Jahre nach "Captial Ideas" das Nachfolgewerk "Capital Ideas Envolving" vor..." Bernstein, Inc., an investment con-sultant firm he founded in 1973, after many years of managing billions of dollars in individual and institutional portfolios. Bernstein is also the author of ten books on economics and finance, including the bestselling Capital Ideas, Against the Gods: The Remarkable Story of Risk, and The Power of Gold: The History of an Obsession. He has lectured widely throughout the United States and abroad, and has received the highest honors from his peers in the investment profession.
