Staats, MD, FIPP,</b> founded the Pain Medicine Division in the Department of Anesthesiology and Critical Care Medicine at Johns Hopkins University. He is Chief Medical Officer of the National Spine and Pain Centers and has served on the United States Health and Human Services Pain Task Force subcommittee. He is the current president of the World Institute of Pain.
