<p><b>Aline Ferreira </b>is Associate Professor of Linguistics in the Department of Spanish and Portuguese at the University of California, Santa Barbara, USA, where she is the Director of the Bilingualism, Translation, and Cognition Laboratory and teaches undergraduate and graduate courses in translation and interpreting studies. <p><b>John W.
